U.S. State Department: DRC at Level 4 'Do Not Travel'

The U.S. Department of State rates the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) as Level 4 'Do Not Travel' due to health, crime, unrest, terrorism, and kidnapping. Because of the Ebola outbreak, the Department of Homeland Security has imposed new restrictions under Title 49 of the U.S. Code barring U.S. citizens and nationals who have been in the DRC within a 21-day period from boarding commercial flights to the United States; such persons must remain outside the DRC for 21 days before boarding.
