Brazil civil aviation carried 11.5 million passengers in August, up 2.5% year on year

Brazil's National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) updated its August demand and supply report: the sector carried 11.5 million passengers, up 2.5% year on year. Domestic traffic reached 8.9 million passengers (+2.3%) and international traffic 2.5 million (+3.4%). Demand rose 3.3% domestically and 4% internationally, while capacity grew 6.8% domestically and 4.3% internationally. Cargo totalled 121,500 tonnes, up 8.6%, split between 39,500 tonnes domestic (+4%) and 82,000 tonnes international (+10.9%).
