Commission launches first EU Screening Week with proposal on cardiovascular health checks

In a press release issued in Brussels on 28 September 2026, the European Commission launched the first-ever EU Screening Week ahead of World Heart Day and adopted a proposal for a Council Recommendation on cardiovascular health checks.
