MCT: China Domestic Trips Reach 4.237 Billion in First Three Quarters of 2024

China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism released sample survey data for domestic tourism in the first three quarters of 2024. Domestic trips reached 4.237 billion, up 15.3% year on year, while total domestic tourism spending reached RMB 4.35 trillion, up 17.9%. Urban residents made 3.270 billion trips and rural residents 967 million. By quarter, Q3 trips reached 1.512 billion, up 17.2% year on year.
