FCDO Updates Benin Travel Advice: Expands High-Risk Area Warnings

The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has updated its travel advice for Benin, now advising against all but essential travel to the remaining areas of the Alibori and Atacora departments. The FCDO continues to advise against all travel to other parts of Benin, including Parc du W National Park, Pendjari National Park, and areas within 5km of the Burkina Faso border. The advice notes that travel insurance may be invalidated if travel goes against FCDO guidance.
