UK CAA simplifies ATOL agency agreement update process
Regulator introduces simpler process for future ATOL agency agreement updates
The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has made adjustments to the ATOL agency agreement update process. The proposal originates from the 2021 ATOL reform programme consultation and received broad industry support. The CAA confirms that from 1 April 2027 it will adjust the ATOL agency agreement requirements; ATOL holders must complete a one-time update and reissue the agency agreement before that date; thereafter changes to CAA agency terms will apply automatically, without the need to reissue for each revision. The CAA recommends updating agreements within six months of the publication of revised terms. The adjustment is currently confirmed and the effective date has not yet been reached.
