OneDine Launches POS-Agnostic Tableside Platform ROM to Modernize Order Entry and Slash Training Time
On October 22, 2026, Hospitality Technology reported that OneDine officially launched ROM, a patent-pending, POS-agnostic server-side intelligence platform. The platform replaces deep touchscreen modifier menu trees with predictive shorthand input, requires no replacement of the core POS, can map existing menu data and connect to existing POS infrastructure, and automatically guides required items, allergen verification and brand-specified pairings. The report stated that ROM underwent 20 months of development and field testing in full-service settings, is now commercially deployable, and targets the industry's annual turnover problem of more than 423,000 server positions.
