29.2 million person-times participated in ice and snow sports nationwide during the 2024–2025 ice and snow season

Data from the General Administration of Sport of China show that during the 2024–2025 ice and snow season, the number of national residents participating in ice and snow sports reached 292 million, driving consumption of more than 187.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of more than 25%. Among the 865 ski resorts in operation nationwide, outdoor venues decreased by 17 in one year, while indoor real-snow venues increased by 20 to 79, an increase of nearly 34%, with another 16 under construction. Nearly 70% of visitors to indoor snow venues are local customers, parent-child families account for more than half, and 80% of visitors stay less than half a day.
