First cohort of new students enrolls at Tonggu Culture and Tourism Industry College

In July 2026, the Tonggu Culture and Tourism Industry College, jointly established by Jiangxi Tourism and Commerce Vocational College, the Tonggu County People's Government, and Tonggu Secondary Vocational School, was unveiled. In September, the college welcomed its first cohort of 159 new students, offering 3 majors: E-commerce, Hotel Management and Digital Operations, and Tourism Management; graduates can obtain a five-year consistent associate degree diploma. The college implements "field classrooms," where students attend classes in real scenic areas, homestays, and livestreaming rooms, and simultaneously keeps local employment and associate-to-bachelor's degree upgrade pathways open. A November 3 report further introduced the above educational model and the situation of the first cohort of new students.
