IHG Appoints Leanne Harwood as Senior Vice President, Global Sales

On October 6, 2026, IHG Hotels & Resorts announced the appointment of Leanne Harwood as Senior Vice President, Global Sales, based in Atlanta, leading the global sales organization, responsible for strategy, performance and customer engagement. IHG Newsroom reported the same day that Harwood has more than 30 years of hospitality experience, including more than 20 years at IHG, and has served since March 2024 as Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Luxury, Lifestyle and Managed Hotels, Americas; she will be responsible for driving customer engagement and growth for global corporate, group and meetings and events business. The same day, a follow-up report by Business Travel News said the appointment is effective immediately, that she previously served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Luxury and Lifestyle, Americas, and that she will continue to oversee her original division until a successor is announced. On October 9, Hotel Dive Feed reported that IHG appointed Harwood, a company veteran of more than 20 years, as Senior Vice President, Global Sales, responsible for the global sales organization and corporate, group and meetings and events business.
