Liping, Guizhou Develops Red Tourism and Study Tours

An October 14, 2026 report states that Liping, Guizhou, is developing red tourism by leveraging the construction of the Long March National Cultural Park (Liping section), and in 2025 cumulatively received approximately 7.78 million tourist visits. The Liping Meeting Memorial Hall renovated the site itself and 6 other former sites, carried out approximately 120 bilingual lectures in the Dong and Miao languages, covering approximately 35,600 person-times, and launched red literary and artistic works such as the Dong opera "The Red Army Came to My Hometown." More than 90 percent of the over 100 shops on Qiaojie Street are operated by local residents, and Dong embroidery workshops have average annual sales exceeding 1.4 million yuan.
