19th Implementation Meeting of the China-EU Maritime Transport Agreement Held in Shanghai

On October 19, 2026, the 19th Implementation Meeting of the China-EU Maritime Transport Agreement was held in Shanghai. Yang Huaxiong, Director-General of the Water Transport Bureau of China's Ministry of Transport, and Fotini Ioannidou, Director of the Waterborne Transport Directorate of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport, led delegations to attend respectively. The two sides exchanged views on topics including the green development of international shipping, dynamics of the international container shipping market, their respective international shipping market policies, and safeguarding the resilience of the China-EU maritime supply chain, and reaffirmed the importance of the China-EU maritime dialogue mechanism.
