Beijing transport authorities launch multiple leaf-viewing routes and tourist routes

The 2026 Xiangshan red leaf viewing period runs from October 16 to November 15. Beijing transport authorities are coordinating subways, trams and surface buses to launch multiple Xiangshan leaf-viewing routes and suburban autumn tourist routes. Total public transport passenger volume in the Xiangshan area is expected to reach 3.1 million, with October 25, October 31 and November 1 as peak passenger flow days. The new tourist route 40 will connect from Pingguoyuan Station to Xiangshan starting October 24; tourist routes 41, 31 and 34 go directly to Pofengling, Mutianyu and Labagou respectively.
