JetBlue raises checked baggage fees for the second time this year

In 2026, JetBlue raised its checked baggage fees for the second time this year. For economy passengers, the price for purchasing checked baggage more than 24 hours in advance rose from $45 to $50, and checking baggage within 24 hours before departure is $60; peak-period checked baggage fees rose from $49 to $55, and checking within 24 hours before departure is $70. JetBlue thus became the first U.S. airline in 2026 to raise baggage fees twice. Reports say rising fuel costs have eroded most of the airline industry's profits. The price adjustment is currently in effect.
