South Korea: 17.11 million foreign visitors from January to September

Data from South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on October 22 shows that from January to September this year, cumulative foreign visitors to South Korea reached 17.11 million, up 21.5% year on year, already 90.3% of last year's full-year total of 18.94 million, and is expected to surpass last year's full-year record within the month. During the same period, foreign card spending related to tourism in South Korea reached 15.9416 trillion won, up 47.7% year on year. Foreign tourists entering through local airport ports increased 37.4% year on year to 3.24 million, and those entering through local seaport ports increased 14.5% year on year to 1.58 million.
