Planday Launches ChatGPT and Claude Connectors to Bring Context-Aware Scheduling to Hospitality Frontlines
On October 23, 2026, Xero-owned workforce management platform Planday announced verified connectors for OpenAI's ChatGPT and Anthropic's Claude, bringing context-aware scheduling to hospitality frontline operations. The report states that more than 216 hospitality customers have joined during the early access phase. Managers can draft shifts in the conversational interface by combining real-time scheduling data with external information such as weather and booking pace, but any adjustment must be manually confirmed before being written to the actual schedule. The connectors use Planday's existing permissions, restricting access to sensitive employee personal information such as bank account and National Insurance numbers. The connectors are currently in early access, with no timeline for full general availability.
