Canadian travel to the US rises year over year for six consecutive months

An October 14, 2026 report said trips by Canadian residents returning from the US in September rose 6.8% year over year, the sixth consecutive month of year-over-year growth, with car and air travel rising 5.6% and 11.6% respectively. But the report also noted that September car return trips were still 31.1% lower than September 2024, and air return trips were 18.7% lower, still a considerable gap from 2024 levels.
