Cross-regional personnel flows on the first day of National Day expected to exceed 330 million person-trips

On October 1, 2026, the first day of the National Day holiday, according to China Tourism News, the total cross-regional personnel flows across society are expected to reach 33.41 million person-trips, up 52.3% month-on-month and down 0.5% from the same period last year. By mode, railway passenger volume is expected to be 24.8 million person-trips, up 7.2% year-on-year; road personnel flows are expected to be 305.45 million person-trips, down 1.1% year-on-year; civil aviation passenger volume is expected to be 2.51 million person-trips, up 0.3% year-on-year. On the same day, China Eastern Airlines plans to operate more than 3,200 flights and carry more than 490,000 passengers.
