Singapore CAAS publishes sustainable aviation fuel procurement standards
CAAS Sets Out Criteria for Sustainable Aviation Fuel to be Procured and Uplifted on Flights from Singapore
On November 5, 2026, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) published sustainability and procurement standards for purchasing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) using SAF Levy revenue, requiring the fuel to meet International Civil Aviation Organization CORSIA eligibility and to reduce lifecycle emissions by at least 40% compared with conventional jet fuel. Singapore Sustainable Aviation Fuel Company SAFCo will launch its first tender before mid-December 2026, with delivery in June 2027; the first batch procurement volume is 20,000 to 30,000 tonnes, and the contract may be awarded to one or more suppliers. Current progress: the procurement standards have been published, and the first tender is still pending launch.
