G331 National Highway Inner Mongolia Section's Full Connection Boosts Self-Driving Tourism Along the Route

In October 2025, the Inner Mongolia section of G331 National Highway achieved full connection with Class III and above roads, and since then self-driving tourism along the route has continued to heat up. A report dated October 21, 2026 shows that in the year since the full connection, as of October 8 Moerdaoga National Forest Park had received about 479,000 visitors this year, the vast majority of whom came by self-driving along this national highway. Inner Mongolia is simultaneously advancing service area pilots, viewing platforms and emergency rescue support facilities, and has launched the "Autumn in the Greater Khingan Mountains" cultural tourism IP and premium self-driving routes. Operating entities such as homestays and herder tourism sites along the route have seen notable income growth; one herder household in East Ujimqin Banner reached an annual income of more than 200,000 yuan.
