2026 Xinjiang Road Trip Conference Opens and Releases Kunlun Self-Driving Routes

On October 27, 2026, the 2026 Xinjiang Road Trip Conference opened in Urumqi with the theme "Galloping the Silk Road · Meeting Kunlun." The conference is hosted by the Hotan Prefecture Administrative Office and the Beijing Municipal Aid-Xinjiang Hotan Command. It launched 2 premium crossing routes, with motorcades departing from Urumqi and Kashgar respectively for Hotan. The conference comprises three stages: self-driving crossing, on-site exchange, and observation and field visits, with the supporting exchange activity scheduled for October 30. On October 30, the conference was held in Hotan, where 3 Kunlun-themed premium self-driving routes were released and the Hotan autumn-winter cultural tourism consumption season was launched. The 3 routes are "Crossing the Tianshan · Rushing to Kunlun," "Secret Realm of Western Tibet · Crossing Kunlun," and "Kashgar-Hotan as One Line · Linking Kunlun." Hotan Prefecture reached cooperation intentions with the Ngari Prefecture of Tibet and Qinghai Province to jointly build an integrated route of the G219 Xinjiang-Tibet Line and the Kunlun Grand Loop.
