BCD Travel launches Virtual Payment Automation (VPA) and automated reconciliation service
Automated Reconciliation
On November 4, 2026, BCD Travel released its Virtual Payment Automation (VPA) solution: travelers book hotels with virtual cards, each transaction generates a unique card number, removing the traveler's personal credit liability and strengthening payment fraud prevention; VPA automatically matches virtual card account spending to the corresponding booking to simplify reconciliation, and VPA+ additionally provides hotel invoice collection, correction and digitization. Reported the same day, BCD Travel launched an AI-driven automated reconciliation service in two modes, self-service and full-service: the self-service mode supports enterprises uploading credit card statements, exporting matched or unmatched transaction reports and importing them into ERP or financial systems; the full-service mode has BCD Travel credit card specialists upload statements on the client's behalf and verify unmatched transactions. The service has partnered with multiple banks and issuers including AirPlus, American Express, Visa and Mastercard. The payment and expense management platform remains payment-method neutral and can connect to enterprises' own banking partners and payment forms; VPA+ clients can view supplier invoice details and download invoice copies, and virtual payment viewing permissions are restricted by account country and deployed client ID/OBT client ID. The automated reconciliation service adds support for Royal Bank of Canada and Scotiabank statement types.
