Air China Opens Beijing–Copenhagen–Reykjavik Route
On October 26, 2026, Air China opened the Beijing–Copenhagen–Reykjavik route. This is the first scheduled passenger route from a mainland Chinese airline to Iceland, with a total flight time of about 15 hours and 45 minutes, enabling one-ticket-through service and through-checked baggage. Entering the 2026 winter/spring flight season, Air China's European route network reaches 36 routes, serving 24 destinations in 19 countries, with about 480 flights operated per week. Subsequent reports stated that the inaugural flight CA807 landed at Keflavik International Airport on the morning of October 26 local time in Iceland, and the airport welcomed it with a "water salute"; the route will connect people-to-people exchanges as well as economic, trade, cultural and tourism exchanges between China and Iceland and the Nordic region.
