IHG signs Kimpton hotel in Rome, expected to open in 2029

On September 30, 2026, IHG Hotels & Resorts signed an agreement with Castello SGR to bring the Kimpton brand to Rome for the first time. The hotel is expected to open in 2029, with 114 rooms, and includes a rooftop bar, restaurant, courtyard, wellness facilities and meeting and event space; the former theater will be converted into a multifunctional arts and events venue. The current progress is at the signing stage, and the opening date is still in planning.
