Urban parks received over 210 million visitors during National Day holiday

On October 9, 2026, data from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development showed that during the National Day holiday, urban parks across the country cumulatively held 11,000 special events including festival flower shows, cultural performances, and intangible cultural heritage experiences, received over 210 million visitors, and drove over 5.2 billion yuan in consumption. Parks across the country extended visiting hours through night tour activities, among which Wuxi Meiyuan Park launched a Shanhaijing-themed golden autumn lantern festival, and Chaozhou Chaoren Park received over 240,000 visitors.
