SITA releases electronic flight bag app eWAS+
From fragmented flight information to clear decision support pilots can count on
On November 5, 2026, SITA released the electronic flight bag (EFB) app eWAS+, which integrates weather and operational data into a single app to help pilots make faster decisions at all phases of flight. According to SITA, the app aggregates data from more than 10 certified weather providers and more than 40 weather products, and combines trajectory, airspace and airport information to present a 4D operational situation via maps and vertical profiles. eWAS+ supports iPadOS and Windows, and can be obtained through airline enterprise app stores or the public App Store. The app is currently in the release phase; the report did not disclose a launch timeline, customer adoption or subsequent rollout plans.
