BCD Travel Calls for Integrating Sustainable Travel into Travel Program Management

BCD Travel proposes that companies should integrate sustainable travel into travel program management, incorporating emissions, cost and trip purpose into a single travel plan, and using existing booking channels, approval and policy data to provide guidance at the point of decision. Its 2026 travel procurement survey shows that 86% of surveyed companies have published sustainability goals, but only 47% have travel-related targets. In BCD Travel's July 2026 survey of 748 business travelers, 31% said they usually lack flight emissions information.
