Brazil's September 2026 civil aviation passenger volume hits record high for the period

On October 21, 2026, Brazil's civil aviation authority (ANAC) released data stating that in September 2026 Brazilian civil aviation carried 10.9 million passengers, up 0.7% year on year, the highest level for September since records began in 2000. Of these, domestic passengers were 8.5 million, basically flat compared with the same period last year; international passengers were 2.4 million, up 3.9%. On cargo, total cargo volume that month was 121,500 tons, up 11.1% year on year; of which international cargo was 82,600 tons, up 16%. This is the latest development of the event so far.
