Analysis of High-End Hotel Supply and Operations in County Areas

On October 8, 2026, China Tourism News reported that among the 1,815 county areas monitored by Huamei Cloud, 513 county areas have a total of 1,540 high-end hotels. The share of county projects among newly opened high-end hotels nationwide rose from 19% in 2010 to 42% in 2025. For county high-end hotels opened in 2021 and later, the median number of guest rooms is 143, the average monthly online listed price is 520 yuan, and the share of the luxury and upper-upscale tiers rose from 16% to 35%.
