Hunan launches 2026 autumn cultural tourism consumption season

On October 23, 2026, the 2026 Hunan Autumn Cultural Tourism Consumption Season launched in Sangzhi County, Zhangjiajie, where 10 themed routes—including colored-forest and ginkgo leaf-viewing routes and rice-wave autumn harvest-picking routes—were released on site, along with Hunan Province's Most Young Nighttime Consumption "Six One Hundred" list. The consumption season runs until the end of November; cities and prefectures across the province will launch special activities around autumn leaf viewing, picking, night tours and intangible cultural heritage, and will jointly issue consumption vouchers, spend-and-get-discounts, and ticket-stub discounts. Liao Jian, deputy director of the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, said Zhangjiajie's inbound orders grew by about 1.5 times year on year.
