Southwest Airlines launches ChatGPT flight search plugin

On October 7, 2026, PhocusWire reported that Southwest Airlines developed a plugin for ChatGPT, through which users can search Southwest Airlines' flight schedules, available seats and fares. When users decide to book, they are redirected to Southwest.com to complete the transaction; loyalty accounts, seat selection, ancillary services and payment are still handled on Southwest Airlines' official website or App. The plugin has currently been launched, and the report did not mention subsequent developments.
