Choice pays $24.3 million to terminate acquisition of Spain's Sercotel

Choice Hotels paid $24.3 million to Barcelona-based Sercotel in September to terminate an acquisition deal. Choice disclosed the payment in a quarterly filing on Monday but did not name Sercotel; the news was told to Skift by people familiar with the matter. The deal has now been terminated and Choice has paid the aforementioned amount.
