Fairmont New Orleans Opens as Fairmont's 100th Hotel Worldwide

On November 2, 2026, Fairmont New Orleans officially opened, becoming Fairmont's 100th hotel worldwide and marking the brand's return to New Orleans after a twenty-year absence. According to an Accor press release, the hotel has 250 guest rooms, is located on 17 floors of the former New Orleans Bank building, offers more than 19,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and features dining created in collaboration with celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse; Fairmont Gold, located on the 29th to 30th floors, will be unveiled in December. A November 4 Hotel Dive report further stated that the hotel is located at 1010 Common Street in the Central Business District, occupies 17 of the 31 floors of the former New Orleans Bank building, and was developed by Kailas Cos.
