National Standard 'Travel Agency Senior Tourism Service Requirements' Takes Effect August 1
A report dated October 19, 2026 shows that the national standard 'Travel Agency Senior Tourism Service Requirements' has been in effect since August 1 of this year. The report, citing data from the National Committee on Aging, states that the number of silver-haired tourists has accounted for more than 20% of the country's total number of tourists, and that localities are meeting this demand through slow-paced itineraries, health and wellness residential tourism products, and age-friendly service renovations. Among them, Qingdao has introduced 47 cultural and tourism services, and Shaanxi provides a subsidy of 30 to 50 yuan per person per day to seniors aged 60 and above for cross-county residential tourism.
