IHG signs Reykjavik Valhöll Holiday Inn Express

In 2025, IHG and ALVA Capital signed a development agreement planning to develop up to 500 rooms in Reykjavik and the Icelandic market. On October 27, 2026, the two parties further signed the Reykjavik Valhöll Holiday Inn Express, with 90 rooms, expected to open in the second half of 2027, which will become IHG's second hotel in Iceland. The hotel is located at Háaleitisbraut 1, adjacent to the airport main road, and adopts the latest Gen 5 design of the Holiday Inn Express brand.
