Royal Jordanian to launch direct Beijing–Amman route

On October 30, 2026, Royal Jordanian announced that it will launch a direct Beijing–Amman route on January 26, 2027. In the initial period after launch, there will be two round trips per week, operated by Boeing 787-8 aircraft; after the summer/autumn schedule change, the plan is to increase frequency to four flights per week. Passengers can connect via the Amman hub to the carrier's 65 destinations covering Europe, the Middle East, North America and other regions, and via the oneworld network reach 170 countries and more than 1,000 airports. The route is currently in an announced, pending-launch status, and there are no reports of actual operational progress.
