Beijing's first comfort-type tourist train departs on December 22

China Railway Beijing Group and New Oriental Culture & Tourism Group will launch the Beijing region's first comfort-type tourist train, "New Oriental · Xiake," in December. The train has a total of 18 carriages and can accommodate 190 people, with soft-sleeper three-person rooms and four-person compartments, each equipped with an independent bathroom. The inaugural service is scheduled to set off from Beijing Station on December 22, passing through Tianjin, Changchun, Yichun, Harbin, Dunhua, Yanji and Shenyang, and return to Beijing on December 31, with a full journey of 10 days and 9 nights; the itinerary is organized around the themes of "culture + ice and snow + folk customs." The train is currently in the preparatory stage ahead of imminent operation.
