Radisson opens Africa's first net-zero hotel in South Africa

On October 27, 2026, Radisson opened Africa's first net-zero hotel, Radisson Safari Hoedspruit, near Kruger National Park in South Africa, with 138 rooms, becoming the group's 10th Verified Net Zero hotel. The report states that the hotel's net-zero costs are borne by the owner rather than the brand, and that it is one of the first managed properties in the project, marking the group's shift from leased properties to managed properties. Radisson plans to expand the net-zero program to more managed and franchised hotels starting next year, with a target of 100 by 2030.
