Beijing Mentougou Tanzhe Leisure Tourism Resort Strives to Become National-Level

Beijing Mentougou Tanzhe Leisure Tourism Resort relies on the 7.55 square kilometers of mountain and water resources around Tanzhe Temple, using the Tanwang Road cycling route to drive popularity. According to an October 2026 report, during weekend peak periods, Jietai Temple Road and Tanwang Road attract tens of thousands of cyclists per day, and the daily average number of cyclists across the entire area is close to 20,000 person-times. The resort has already been rated as a Beijing municipal tourism resort, with the Tangu commercial district as the main engine connecting areas such as mid-mountain homestays and sports and health care. In July of this year, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism organized an expert panel to conduct a brand review. Next, supporting facilities such as cycling stations will be improved in an effort to become a national-level tourism resort.
