Vietnam Trials Visa Exemption for Chinese Tour Groups in Khanh Hoa

On October 12, 2026, Vietnam signed a resolution to trial visa exemption for eligible Chinese tour groups in Khanh Hoa Province from that day until December 31, 2027. The applicable conditions are: package tour groups, at least two tourists, itinerary not exceeding 30 days, and must fly directly from mainland China to Cam Ranh International Airport and enter and exit through the same airport. An October 15 report mentioned that Thailand is considering imposing an exit tax of about 1,000 baht (about 30 US dollars) on departing travelers, and plans to charge 450 baht on foreign tourists arriving by air; the two charges have not yet been officially implemented.
