Brazil's ANAC expands list of type ratings for two-pilot operations
Anac amplia lista de habilitações com dois pilotos em aeronaves single-pilot
The Brazilian Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) updated its type rating list, adding options with a "/D" suffix, used to indicate that a pilot's training and proficiency check were completed in two-pilot operations, and which may be issued for either pilot-in-command (PIC) or second-in-command (SIC) roles, applicable to aircraft types that can be operated by a single pilot and also in two-pilot operations. A report dated November 6, 2026, shows that the newly added "/D" options include BE30/D and CE-408/D, applicable to the King Air 300/350 family, with the relevant rules based on IS nº 61-004 revision R, sections 5.3.6 to 5.3.9.3. The list currently already includes the above two-pilot operation options.
