On October 29, 2026, the First Annual Meeting of the Red Tourism Branch of the China Tourism Association and the Seminar on Improving the Quality and Upgrading of Red Tourism in the New Era were held in Xinxian County, Xinyang, Henan. The meeting was hosted by the Red Tourism Branch of the China Tourism Association. At the meeting, the branch proposed taking the integration of "government, industry, academia, research, and application" as its path: using three years to lay the foundation, establish standards, and build platforms, and using five years to build the brand, form an ecosystem, and achieve tangible results, so as to create a national-level platform for the coordinated development of red tourism. The meeting has now been held, and the relevant path and phased goals were proposed by the branch.
