Court orders visa agency to pay 31,900 yuan for handling wrong visa type

The Xicheng District People's Court of Beijing concluded a visa agency dispute: Ms. Duan commissioned an agency to handle a super visa (PG-1), but the agency mistakenly obtained a tourist visa (V-1) for her, causing Ms. Duan to spend nearly 13,000 yuan in extra expenses and to be forced to return home early. The court found that the agency had obvious fault and ordered it to compensate for agency fees, insurance fees, medical examination fees, round-trip airfare and other costs totaling more than 31,900 yuan. The judgment has taken effect.
