American Airlines Managed Corporate Revenue Grows Double Digits for Sixth Consecutive Quarter

American Airlines reported Q3 results: managed corporate segment revenue grew 28% year over year, the sixth consecutive quarter of double-digit growth; travel management company channel revenue grew 27% year over year, and small and medium enterprise business AAdvantage Business grew 46%. Passenger revenue for the quarter rose 19.5% year over year to $14.9 billion, total revenue rose 19.3% to $16.3 billion, but net loss was $269 million, with fuel costs increasing by $1.9 billion. The company expects Q4 revenue to grow 19.5% to 22.5% year over year, with capacity growth of 5.5% to 6.5%.
