Temporary no-fly zone set for Singapore F1 Grand Prix
Establishment of Temporary Restricted Area During 2026 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix
On October 6, 2026, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) announced that a temporary restricted area (TRA) will be established during the 2026 F1 Singapore Grand Prix to ensure public safety and the safety of low-altitude aerial photography helicopters. The no-fly zone will take effect in phases from October 8 to 12, extending from ground/mean sea level to 4,000 feet above mean sea level. During this period, all aerial activities including kites, tethered balloons and drones are prohibited unless approved by CAAS. First-time offenders face a maximum fine of S$50,000 or two years' imprisonment, while repeat offenders face a maximum fine of S$100,000 or five years' imprisonment.
