ANAC Intensifies Oversight of Scenic Flights in Rio

Brazil's ANAC intensified oversight of scenic flight operations in Rio, inspecting 10 companies and 19 aircraft last week, suspending 4 companies, and grounding or suspending 9 aircraft. ANAC also announced a revision of regulation RBAC 136 to enhance safety. The Rio city government terminated agreements with 5 companies, leaving only Helisul Táxi Aéreo authorized for commercial scenic flights.
