Pinglu Canal to Open Sept 16 with Four Planned Passenger Routes

China Tourism News reports that the Pinglu Canal, described as a century-scale project, will be completed and opened to navigation on Sept 16, with four passenger routes planned for the opening day: Xinfu water service area to Pingtang river mouth loop, Xinfu water service area to Madao hub loop, Qinzhou water service area to Qingnian hub loop, and Qinzhou water service area to Longmen Bridge loop. Operating companies and vessels have obtained domestic waterway transport business licenses and vessel operating certificates.
