Mozambique: Level 2 Advisory, Some Areas Do Not Travel

The US State Department has issued a Level 2 advisory for Mozambique due to terrorism, crime, health, and unrest. Terrorist groups are active in the north, potentially attacking public areas and tourist sites, sometimes taking hostages. Violent crime like mugging is common, and health infrastructure is weak. Protests may disrupt transportation. Do not travel to Cabo Delgado Province, Niassa Special Reserve, and parts of northern Nampula Province due to terrorism.
