Tripadvisor posts Q1 revenue and EBITDA declines

Tripadvisor reported Q1 2026 revenue of $382 million, down 4% YoY; net loss was $13 million; adjusted EBITDA was $22 million, down from $44 million a year ago. The company incurred $3.3 million in restructuring costs as part of its 'experiences-led and AI-enabled' strategy. Experiences revenue grew 4% to $168 million, with bookings up 11% to 5.6 million and gross bookings value of $1.2 billion. Hotels revenue declined 22% to $158 million. CEO Matt Goldberg said the company is partnering with AI platforms like Anthropic and OpenAI, and considering allowing AI platforms to train on its data.
