Brazil to Join International Aviation Carbon Offsetting Scheme from 2027

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has included Brazil in the list of states participating in the second phase of CORSIA (Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation), effective from January 1, 2027. International routes between Brazil and other 134 states will be subject to offsetting requirements. Brazil's National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) is responsible for implementation and oversight.
